Before this container became your Tiny House, it spent years crossing the world's oceans – loaded with cargo, through storms and across continents. Today it stands quietly in a peaceful spot near the center of Schärding, transformed into a stylish retreat with smart home, air conditioning, its own kitchen, bathroom and garden. A Second Journey

Every container has a story before it reaches us. This one – hull number RFBU 907363‑2, a 40-foot high cube sea container from the fleet of Bimicon Container Service GmbH in Hamburg – spent many years at sea, carrying cargo between ports and continents, and has seen more of the world than most of us do in an entire lifetime. Its steel walls, which withstood salt water, wind and weather for years, still carry that history within them.

In 2024, we gave it a second journey: instead of cargo, it now carries memories. What was once a pure workhorse of the global economy has become a place to arrive – upcycling in the truest sense, nothing new taken from the earth, just something that already existed, reimagined with respect for where it came from.
